Day 1: Arrive Entebbe, Uganda

Welcome to Uganda! You will be met by an Africa 360 Travel representative and taken to The Boma Hotel where you can rest up from your long journey. If you arrive early, rent a bicycle at the hotel and cycle to the magnificent Entebbe Botanical Garden to spend a tranquil morning or afternoon.

Day 2: Entebbe to Sanctuary Gorilla Forest Camp, Uganda

After breakfast, you will be met at your hotel and transferred to Entebbe International for your flight to Kihihi Airstrip. You’ll be met at Kihihi Airstrip by your guide for a short drive to Sanctuary Gorilla Forest Camp in the Northern sector of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park.

Lunch will be served upon arrival into camp. Meet the Gorilla Doctors conservation team and hear their presentation on the history of the mountain gorilla veterinary program. All meals will be served at camp.

Sanctuary Gorilla Forest Camp

Day 3-4: Sanctuary Gorilla Forest Camp, Uganda

Gorillas! After breakfast, enjoy a full-day gorilla trek which gives you a once-in-a-lifetime encounter with Uganda’s endangered gorillas.

Additional Activities include the Batwa tribe experience, Birding walk, Forest walk, or game drive into Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Day 5: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest to Nairobi, Kenya

After breakfast, you’ll road transfer to Kihihi Airstrip to catch your scheduled flight to Entebbe. Stay at Entebbe Airport and connect to your outbound international flight to Nairobi.

A member from the Africa 360 team will collect you from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and drive you to Giraffe Manor. With its stately façade, elegant interior, verdant green gardens, sunny terraces and delightful courtyards, Giraffe Manor makes you feel like you are walking into the film Out of Africa.

Dinner with Giraffe Conservation Foundation where you will learn about the silent extinction of Giraffe and what they are doing to help save this majestic species.

Day 6: Nairobi to Kichwa Tembo (Maasai Mara National Reserve), Kenya

A member of the Africa 360 team will collect you from Giraffe Manor and drive you to Wilson Airport in time to meet your shared light aircraft flight to Maasai Mara National Reserve.

Located where the riverine forest meets the sweeping plains in the path of the awe-inspiring Great Migration, Kichwa Tembo provides an authentic dose of African wildlife, delivered with legendary Kenyan hospitality.

The quintessential Maasai Mara safari delivers many attractions and is home to an excellent year-round concentration of game as well as the two million animals that makes up the Great Migration. All meals will be served at the lodge – Kichwa Tembo Maasai Mara Tented Camp.

Day 7-9: Kichwa Tembo, Kenya

Safari! Wake up to incredible Maasai Mara views with spectacular panoramas. Enjoy your morning and evening game drives with your expert specialist guide in a private vehicle. In the foothills of the scenic Oloololo Escarpment, the rim of the Great Rift Valley offers seasonal views of the Great Migration, including river crossings. And don’t forget to stop for a classic safari “sundowner” drink in a scenic location to watch the breathtaking African sunset.

Other activities include escaping to a massage room or relaxing at the rim-flow swimming pool, literally on the edge of the Mara, boasting one of the world’s most extraordinary views.

You’ll also experience the Maasai Mara by air in a hot air balloon! Enjoy breathtakingly beautiful views of the morning’s sunrise and marvel at the diverse habitats of the Maasai Mara Reserve, the great Mara River, swamps, forests, wildlife and the African Savanna. You’ll be treated like royalty with a delicious champagne breakfast served in the open plains upon landing.

Day 10: Kichwa Tembo to Sasaab Lodge (Samburu National Reserve), Kenya

After breakfast, you’ll game drive to the airstrip where you’ll take a shared light aircraft to Wilson Airport and then onward to a shared light aircraft to Samburu airstrip.

Sasaab Lodge is situated above the banks of the Uaso Nyiro River, in the arid heart of Samburu.  It’s a place of rich natural diversity with an astounding number of animals.  With palm groves and dense forests, this remote wilderness is pure splendor.

This tranquil (luxury) retreat boasts sweeping views and Moroccan-style tents each offering a comfortable sitting room, lovely ensuite bathroom and your own private plunge pool.  All meals will be served at camp.

Enjoy a festive dinner at camp with the Ewaso Lions conservation team who are dedicated to conserving lions and other large carnivores by promoting co-existence between people and wildlife.

Sasaab Lodge

Day 11: Sasaab Lodge, Kenya

Safari! Enjoy your morning and evening game drives (including night drives) with the Ewaso Lions team where you will meet the Samburu Warriors and Mama Simbas.

Other adventures include walking safaris along the river or in the grasslands, day trips to the Samburu Reserve, mountain biking and cultural excursions.

Day 12: Sasaab Lodge to Elephant Watch Camp by Way of Zebras, Kenya

After breakfast, you will be met by the Grevy’s Zebra Trust conservation team for your game drive to see this highly endangered zebra. The GZT conserves the endangered Grevy’s zebra and its fragile habitat in partnership with local communities.

Mid-afternoon you’ll have a 1-hour road transfer to Elephant Watch Camp, home of Save The Elephants. Elephant Watch Camp is the ultimate in eco-luxury and has an unrivalled wildlife experience, thanks to Save The Elephants (STE’s) long links to pioneering elephant conservation.

Day 13-14: Elephant Watch Camp, Kenya

The years STE has spent among Samburu’s elephants means that the herds are now so habituated to the specially modified open vehicles and expert guides that they allow you right into the heart of their family groups.

You’ll also enjoy VIP access to the big cats as STE is part of the Lion Watch monitoring program that enables guests unrivaled access to lion viewing.

Day 15: Elephant Watch Camp to Nairobi, Kenya (Departure Day)

After your morning breakfast, you will be transferred to the airstrip for your shared light aircraft flight to Nairobi.

Upon arrival in Nairobi, you will grab a late lunch and then visit the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust (elephant orphanage). You will have a private viewing which is a scheduled feeding time for the orphaned elephants where you will be able to have a hands-on encounter with both the orphans and their Keepers. An employee from the Trust will explain the project and the individual rescue stories of each elephant orphan in the nursery.

A vehicle and driver will be at your disposal for shopping and sightseeing in Nairobi during the day. You will depart from Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO) in the evening or extend your stay to see The Great Migration in Tanzania’s Serengeti.
